The Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars are doing battle tonight on Indigenous Veterans Day (a day which is separate from Remembrance Day partially because their contribution was unique in that they had to give up their Status to gain Franchise to fight for Canada). Anyways, the Jets are celebrating the Filipino Community today as they have helped change the makeup of Manitoba for the better. Many immigrants have moved to Manitoba, had to adjust to a vicious climate, and have helped change the province for the better. They deserve to be celebrated like they are tonight.
